You Are The Water

You Are The Water

I’m dry. I’m weak. I dare not even to speak aloud
For fear of being drowned out by the rush
Of the roaring crowds who cry, “There is no river.
And there is no water.”

But I say, “You are the water.
You are the crashing waves.
You are the rapids.
You are the ocean that can never be tamed…

…Or bought by immeasurable wealth
Of kings on their thrones in powerful countries.
‘Cause its only by the grace of God that He answers
And opens the floodgates to wash out our souls.”
And we cry, “Where is the river?
And where is the water?”

And I say, “You are the water.
You are the crashing waves.
You are the rapids.
You are the ocean by which we are saved…

…Bought by the precious blood of the Lamb of God,
Christ Jesus, our Savior,
The Alpha, the Omega, Beginning and the end,
the first born of Mary, the son of a virgin.”
We cry, “Where is the river?
And Where is the water?”

And He says, “I am the water.
I am the crashing waves
I am the rapids.
I am the ocean by which you are saved.”

…By which you are saved.
…By which we are saved
…By which I am saved.
