When Peter said, "I love you, Lord,"
Why did Jesus doubt?
Peter cried out with all he had,
But Jesus knew Peter's heart.
Jesus told Peter, "Feed my sheep.
Then I'll know you love me."
Peter wanted to love his lord
So now with sincerity
You'll know I love you, Lord

and I put Jesus aside
once in a while showing love
and telling Jesus I've tried
Jesus told me to love him more
