Alabaster Worship

I find myself avoiding
The comfort you bestow
Passing by your many blessings
With a plan I have of my own
As I vainly search for meaning
Every place but to You
I'm coming up on empty
I finally know what I must do

I must worship
As the alabaster woman
I must adore You
Not caring reprimand
Gazing only upon Jesus
Captivated by His love
I must look to my sweet Jesus
As the alabaster woman

I find myself planning worship
Every word, song, and phrase
But I've forgotten the alone times
Choosing worship for Sundays
But the alabaster woman
She comes so recklessly
Abandoning her treasure
Her life, her all, admitting her need

I must worship
As the alabaster woman
I must adore You
Not caring reprimand
Gazing only upon Jesus
Captivated by His love
I must look to my sweet Jesus
As the alabaster woman

Oh, I must worship

This moment can be that sweet.
Why do we resist?
Surrender
Surrender
Oh, surrender
Oh, surrender

I must worship
As the alabaster woman
I must adore You
Not caring reprimand
Gazing only upon Jesus
Captivated by His love
I must look to my sweet Jesus
As the alabaster woman

I must worship
Surrender
Surrender
I must worship as the alabaster woman.
