Merry Christmas 2005

I just wanted to take a moment to say Merry Christmas! I’m so excited to be spending the next week and a half at my parent’s home in the U.P. (Upper Peninsula of Michigan) I’m looking forward to cross-country skiing, sitting in the sauna, playing cards, and most of all just catching up with everyone. If you find that you have nothing to do during Christmas break, please email me and you can join us for all the fun? I will write more after Christmas. Until then, may you have meaningful experiences with people you love.

One more thing…

The other day one of my best friends was sharing with me how so often we see God as a Being who constantly has His watchful eye judging our every move. She said with a bit of excitement, “He is not just above us, watching us, He is here!” God loves us and is not far off. Hmm, I like that. He came to be near. I only wish that I could be ever aware of His nearness.

O come, O come, Emmanuel
And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lowly exile here
Until the Son of God appeared
Rejoice! rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel
